Book/Movie Club

Ok guys. For those of you who are bored and want something to read or watch, you should join this club! I will want members of this club to post ideas and suggestions for what series, movies, books and other things that we should see. But keep in mind the ratings on the movies, just warn us what rating it is before hand.

These can have NOTHING to do with wolves. It can be an anime series you love, your favorite book, a good movie and more!  You can be partnered with someone and you two can watch the episodes/read chapters and when you're done you can tell us how it was.

I would like people to 'join' the book club and once they do, I will assign them a movie or a book (whatever they prefer) and then they will watch/read it and tell us about it. Here are some of the movies and books that people have already suggested.

Wolf children is by far oe of my favorite movies ever. I loved it and wanted to cry at certain parts.

By the way, i just startes the Black Butler. If anyone wants to watch it with me, do say so!

I´ve watched wolf children Ame and Yuki and then suggested it on our former rp Website. Sadly, Sybil/Silence was the only one who gave the movie a Chance and watched it   Perhaps we should advertise Wolf children on Renati Vigilum too, like on our last Website?

If you liked Wolf children, then I think you will like "Summer wars" aswell. It´s not a movie about wolves but it´s from the same makers who did Wolf children and it´s really cool

Yes, Summer wars is a wonderful movie. I would strongly suggest it, and I think it's only PG-13?

Books!

1. Guardians of Ga'hoole

Description: All about Owls. Writer is Kathryn Lasky (Author of Wolves of the Beyond) and there are about....15 Books in the series. Fiction!

2. The Wing series

Description: Bats! I forget the Author but this series is AMAZING! Books: Silver Wing, Sun wing, Fire Wing and Dark wing (Not sure if in correct order but Silver Wing is first and Dark wing is last)

3. The Unicorn Chronicles

OMG! This series blew me away! it is NOT girly at all. There are 2 books in the series: Into the Land of the Unicorns and The Song of the Wanderer

I can't lie, my favorite movies are all Studio Ghibli films.

Mine too, Kailee  Spirited away, Pompoko and Howls moving castle are my fav ^^

The saddest movie which Hayao ever made though, is Grave of the fireflies. The Story is about two children, trying to survive after their home got destroyed because of war. It´s quite sad and the ending will make you definetly cry  It´s a beautiful movie but really heartbreaking. I also have to say that it´s not suited for Kids under the Age of 10.
(Warnings: Deaths and violence. The movie also made growing men cry so beware)



(Hard to believe that it´s a ghibli movie :/ )

My personal favorite is My Neighbor Totoro. The idea of having a Guardien of the Forest who is willing to not only protect his forest but the humans who care for it is really touching.

And Zero, you should definetely watch Kiki´s delivery Service and Princess mononoke!

Has anybody ever heard of the anime´s Ginga nagareboshi Gin (Silverfang legend Gin) and Ginga densetsu Weed (Silverfang legend Weed) ? It´s a popular anime about Dogs in japan fighting in Wars. Ginga densetsu weed is the Sequel of GNG.


GNG tells the Story about a young Akita inu dog named Gin who joins a Group of wild Dogs and helps them fight against their enemies, the bears.


GDW however, tells the Story about Gin´s son, weed who has to become the new leader of the Group of dogs. (I dont want to spoil you too much so I better stop talking  )

I have to warn you though (again  ) The anime is very very violent. Dogs will kill eachother or be killed from others, foul language and of course, War. I personally prefer GNG but that´s my opinion.
